The California Democratic Party (CDP) will elect state officers at its 2009 convention, held on April 24-26 in Sacramento.

The California Democratic Council (CDC) will hold a special online candidate endorsement vote for the CDP state officer positions of Chair, 1st Vice Chair, 2nd Vice Chair, Secretary, and Controller:

• The deadline for submitting club and county affiliation applications is February 1, 2009.
• The deadline for submitting complete delegate information is February 7, 2009.

• Online Voting is scheduled to begin February 28, 2009.

All officially chartered Democratic clubs and Democratic County Central Committees are entitled to at least one delegate.

Clubs fully affiliated with CDC are entitled to one duly elected delegate, and one alternate, for each ten (10) members who appear on the CDC approved affiliation roster, as well as a vote for the Club President or the Club President's designee.

County Central Committees fully affiliated with CDC shall be entitled to two duly-elected delegates, and two alternates, for each Assembly District, whole or partial, contained within the county.
